Kennametal Inc. Selects eLogic Group for SAP Variant Configurator And Internet Product Configurator Implementation

Kennametal Inc., a leading global supplier of tooling, engineered components and advanced materials, has contracted with eLogic Group to implement the SAP R/3 Variant Configurator (VC) and Internet Product Configurator (IPG) to support the sale of a broad array of metal cutting products worldwide. The VC will automate the validation and pricing of Engineered-to-Order configurations. This design will leverage several advanced VC features and enhancements to facilitate sales configuration and order fulfillment, which will streamline several key business processes. The IPC will be utilized to extend this capability to selected sales channel partners.

eLogic has provided consulting services to Kennametal since 2004, including VC implementations in Pennsylvania, Germany, and Georgia. For this project, eLogic will provide resources for the system architecture design, VC design and modeling, business process reengineering, data migration, custom development, and implementation support. By leveraging its prior experience with Kennametal and utilizing a multi-tiered staffing model, eLogic is uniquely positioned to provide the right balance of design expertise and modeling resources to minimize risks and ensure a cost-effective solution.
