eLogic Group to present at SAP CWG Fall 2008 Conference

eLogic's SAP Practice Manager, Lawrence Matusek, is a scheduled presenter at this year’s Configurator Work Group Fall Conference being held in Marco Island, Florida, October 6 through October 8. Lawrence, a member of the CWG Board of Directors, has more than ten years of experience in all aspects of SAP Product Configuration. He will be giving presentations entitled ‘Using Knowledge Modeling to Automate the Proposal Generation Process for the Variant Configurator User’.

This session is a follow on to the CWG Guided Selling and Proposal Generation Influence Group that was formed to address the complexity of proposal configuration and generation as it relates to complex products and services typically encountered through the Variant Configurator models. The members of the Focus Group identified proposal generation as an existing business process that requires substantial manual resources, and therefore decided to focus on the requirements of this area first.

eLogic Group and Cincom Systems, have partnered together to provide the ability to create comprehensive proposal packets that effectively convey the companies products and services, as well maintain a consistent brand identity. The benefits of these capabilities include:

  • Elimination of data entry errors since SAP data is automatically transferred to proposal application
  • Reduced cost of proposal generation with repeatability and reproducibility of proposal documents
  • Minimized maintenance of documents content (e.g. text)
  • Global visibility of the impact caused by changes
  • Reduced rework through easy control and monitoring of the proposal development process

Additional information about this and other conference sessions is available on the CWG web site at http://www.configuration-workgroup.com.
